The human mind is designed so that a person cannot be satisfied with what they have. We are designed to thrive.
Now, you wonder, why is killing our own species considered progress? Well, here’s the tricky thing, the fact that humans have trouble being happy with what they already have, evolves greed. War is always based on greed. Whether the prize is power, dominance, money, or other resources, the humans will always find something to fight about. Which is ironic… Since as I said the typical human has trouble being happy about what they already have.

However, our odd complex has also developed good things. Would we be able to travel to the moon if we weren’t irritated the whole time that we were stuck on this earth and not being able to fly? Eventually the people who thought the same thing gathered around to create a machine that would allow us to fly in the air.

So, no, I cannot fully agree with “We get absolutely nothing done, and it’s all due to our idiotic beliefs that do not help us the least.”
I concur that people destroying each other for dominance and resources is brutal and mindless, but the fact that we always want more and more has also gave us some good things.

Another example. Would we have computers now if people were completely fine with sending pigeons to bring messages to other castles far away? No we wouldn’t because the people would be happy about it and wouldn’t bother designing something more practical.

Haha, but then again… Now we finally have computers and nobody is too excited about it anymore… How stupid.
But the fact that this evolved naturally, means it is not something to be very ashamed of, I believe. Sure, having criticism about the negative actions of humans is alright, but there is no real stopping to it because it is really what we are.
