Knock yourself out!

When I was in London a few days ago, I noticed, well, realized a couple of things, one of which was that people like to get very drunk / stoned or simply fall asleep due to sleeping pills.

Well, I did not get that until just a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago, I was having a bit of a tough time at school. I was so stressed out I could not think at all…

I was unhappy, stressed and all in all, wasn’t feeling well, at all. I was, without realizing and acknowledging it properly, on my way to London.

When I reached London, I was still feeling like sh*t. My whole body was aching, which was soon replaced by the worst foot-ache I’ve ever had. I needed to do something about it. I popped 3 painkillers and went for a long walk in Hyde Park and the area surrounding it. READ DISCLAIMER BELOW.

It was, honestly, the best experience I’d ever had. Painkillers + Hyde Park at night? Wow.

On the same night, I realized the purpose of techno/trance music when I was sitting at the lobby of the hostel, where they played it all day. It works when you are on drugs. Well, technically, I wasn’t on drugs. I was on light painkillers and I was in the best city in the world. I.Was.Happy.

A few nights later, I discovered ultra-light-legal-for-under-18s alcohol. While I’ve had the same thing, basically, in Estonia for quite a while, it was really good in London. Especially, when it was coupled with donuts and drunk from a can.

And another night passed. It was the last day of the trip. I had gone shopping during the day and bought books and an iTunes Store gift card.
You know what? I’d never understood why some people read a lot of books. Now I do. I read a couple of chapters of a good book that night…

I was happy again! Really, I was. Books do make people happy! Books are written by intelligent people. Well, any book OTHER than twilight. Which is just a piece of sh*t written by someone who has probably never ever read a good book and has just learned to write, with mistakes (most of which edited out by the editor, who, I can imagine, was in agony and most likely suicidal whilst reading and correcting it).

I actually quite enjoy reading now. Mostly because it’s why I tend to write well (okay, not THAT well) thanks to reading a lot these days. Oh, and a decent night out at West End is also an enjoyable experience.

Really, knock yourself out. Read a good book, pop a painkiller and have a walk OR drink light alcohol and have a donut – it’s your choice what to you will do.

Whatever you choose, it will make you feel (a lot) better.
